South Aiken High School will host an Aerial Drone Competition on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The event will provide teams with an opportunity to compete, improve their piloting and programming skills, and prepare for future brigade, regional, and championship-level competitions.
The meet will include the standard Aerial Drone Competition events and will follow current competition rules and procedures. Teams should arrive with their drones, batteries, chargers, safety equipment, and any other required materials. Digital Logbooks must be submitted by October 30, 2026.
Coaches should register their teams as early as possible and ensure that all team and participant information is current. Additional information concerning registration, the event schedule, parking, concessions, and volunteer assignments will be provided as the event approaches.
Teams are encouraged to arrive prepared, review the current game manual, and bring all equipment needed to compete throughout the day.
We look forward to welcoming teams for a competitive and enjoyable day of aerial drone competition.

Teams that have not checked in by 9:00 a.m. may not be included in the Teamwork Mission match schedule.
12:00 p.m. – Lunch Break
12:30 p.m. – Teamwork Matches, Skills Missions, and Judging Resume
2:30 p.m. – Teamwork Qualification Matches, Skills Missions, and Judging Close
2:45 p.m. – Alliance Selection
3:00 p.m. – Finals Matches
3:40 p.m. – Awards Ceremony
4:00 p.m. – Event Concludes

Judging format
Digital Competition Logbooks must be submitted no later than Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10:00 p.m. Submission instructions and the required link will be provided to registered teams.
Team interviews will be conducted onsite during the competition on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Teams should arrive prepared to discuss their design process, programming, flight strategy, teamwork, and lessons learned. Interview schedules and locations will be provided during event check-in.

This event will present official REC Foundation Aerial Drone Competition awards in accordance with current RECF guidelines. Anticipated awards include:

All refund requests will be handled in accordance with the current Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (RECF) refund policy. Registration fees are subject to the terms and conditions established by RECF. Coaches should contact the Event Partner as soon as possible regarding any cancellation or refund request.
