General information

The RECF is honored to once again host the official JROTC All-Service Robotics National Championship.  This event will be extra special because it will happen along side our JROTC All-Service ADC Championship, in an amazing space with tons of activities for teams to do in their free time.  This will be a World Qualifying event for the RECF STEM World Championship in St. Louis April 27th-May 6th, with a minimum of 10 awards qualifying to that event..  Specific dates for the High School portion of the world championship will be released later.

All participating teams must be registered with RECF Achieve on the recfevents.org website and have an official team number.

All participating teams must qualify at a RECF Achieve event prior to February 15th in order to earn an invitation to the JROTC National Championship. Qualifying awards can be earned at any event regardless of that events affiliation with JROTC.  Teams can also Qualify based on their highest combined skills score from any one event.

We will be collecting Physical engineering notebooks at this event for judging.

Breakfast and Lunch will be available at no cost to JROTC teams.

Number of elimination alliances (16-23 teams = 8 alliances in finals, 24-31 teams =12 alliances in finals, 32+ teams = 16 alliances in finals)

All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.

Review all game information: Current Game Webpage

  1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time

for adjustments. Robots must use legal parts as laid out in the game manual.

  2. Please self inspect before arriving at the tournament using the Achieve Robot Inspection Checklist (To be linked when available)

  3. Check the official RECF forums for rule updates and changes.

  4. Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on RECFevents.org

  8. Prep for your interviews with the judges and read the Judge's Guide.

  9. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.

  10. Remember that safety comes first, please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team, or others nearby.
