January Jetstream Jam

Welcome to the January Jetstream Jam hosted by Kettering University on January 30, 2027. 

Notebooks must be submitted digitally by 12:00 pm Tuesday January 26, 2027. Physical Engineering Notebooks will NOT be accepted at the event. See the "Judging" Section for more information

Pre-order lunch vouchers for all-you-can-eat lunch (one time through) at the Kettering Battenburg Cafe in the NEW Learning Commons are $12 each and available for purchase on Kettering's Site. The cafe offers a wide variety of food (including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and more) and beverages. Vouchers have no expiration date - if you plan to attend future events at Kettering, you will be able to use leftover vouchers at that time. Additionally lunch can be purchased at the door for $14.00. Outside food is permitted in both the Robotics Center and Learning Commons, but there will NOT be a dedicated place or outlets for your Team to set up your own food service. Sternos or other warming devices are NOT permitted.

7:30 AM - Doors Open

7:45 AM - Team Check in, Inspections Begin

8:00 AM - Piloting Mission Begins

9:00 AM - Flight Team Meeting and Match Schedule Created 

Note: Teams not checked in by this time will not be included in the Teamwork Match schedule for the day.

9:30 AM - Teamwork Matches, Autonomous Flight Mission and Judging Begin

12:00 PM - Lunch

12:30 PM - All Matches and Judging Resume

3:30 PM - Teamwork Qualification Matches, Piloting and Autonomous Flight Matches and Judging End

3:45 PM - Alliance Selections

4:00 PM - Finals and Awards

5:00 PM - Event Ends

• All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Digital Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event.
   

• Digital Notebooks must be submitted by the Primary or Secondary Contact through the Team Dashboard by January 26, 2027 @ 12:00 pm.
   

• Content that is uploaded after January 26, 2027 may not be eligible for Judging consideration.
   

• Each Team will have an opportunity for an in-person interview with the Judges.

Event Cancellation:

If weather or a local emergency cause us to cancel or modify the schedule for this event, we will update this event's RecfEvents.org general information page. Please check the recfevents.org General Information page before traveling to Kettering University for possible notice of a delayed event start time, cancellation, or rescheduling of the event due to inclement weather or local emergency.

Notice will be posted by 5:00 AM the morning of the event (or sooner if the decision is made).

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Should the Kettering University ADC HS/MS Tournament be canceled, refunds in the amount of $85 will be issued.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

There will be no refund.
